Bologna vs Juventus – Serie A Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Match Prediction

Match Day 38 encounter, with Bologna taking on Juventus on Sunday the 23th of May, 2021, at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

Bologna visited Hellas Verona last weekend, went down twice, 1-0 and 2-1, but they answered back both times and left Verona with a point. Their current form reads; DLDDL. They are on 41 points from 37 matches, sitting 11th in the table (at least before Saturday’s games). They have 10W, 11D and 16L, having earned three points from their last five matches thanks to three draws. Goals, 50 scored, 61 conceded. Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic played a 4-2-3-1 formation against Verona last weekend, with Palacio up front. He was the one who equalized 2-2 in the 82nd minute. Much earlier

, in the 32nd, De Silvrestri had equalized 1-1. Palacio had just one goal all season until recently, when he scored a hat-trick. Last weekend’s was his fifth goal in Serie A this season, now from 35 appearances. Mind you, he is 39, one of the oldest players in Serie A (and generally in Europe’s “top-5” leagues). As hosts, Bologna have won just one of their last five games, a 4-1 over Spezia something over a month ago.

Juventus are finishing the season strongly, but they know that even if they beat Bologna, they may still be left out of next season’s Champions League. Last weekend they beat Inter Milan 3-2 at home, taking the lead three times, the last one in the 88th minute, from the penalty spot. On Wednesday, they won the Coppa Italia, beating Atalanta 2-1 in the final. Their current form reads; WWWLW. They are on 75 points, sitting 5th in the table,

one point below 3rd-placed AC Milan and 4th-placed Napoli. There are several possible scenarios including all three teams, but probably the main one you need to remember is that Juventus do not depend on themselves alone. As previously mentioned, even if they win this game and climb up to 78 points, they will be left 5th if both Milan and Napoli win their games, over Atalanta and Hellas Verona respectively. They have 22W, 9D and 6L, having scored 73 goals and conceded 37. Coach Andrea Pirlo played a 4-4-2 formation against Inter last weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo scored once and Juan Cuadrado twice, including the winner in the 88th minute.

In the reverse fixture back in January, Juventus won 2-0 in Turin.
A 0-2 victory for the Bianconeri is predicted at full-time.
