The English Premier League comes to a close this weekend and all games will kick off at the same time, 16:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace takes place at Anfield.

Liverpool F.C. defeated Burnley on Wednesday - away from home when they met at Turf Moor. Roberto Firmino (43’) scored the opener two minutes from the end of the first-half after an assist from Andrew Robertson. Nathaniel Phillips (52’) doubled the lead in the second half before Alex Oxlade Chamberlain put the game to bed after taking on three Burnley players inside the box.

The win leaves Liverpool with four victories in a row: DWWWW (Premier League) as they sit in 4th place after playing 37 matches. The Reds have scored 66 goals and conceded 42 - hence, have a GD of +24 and 66 points after 19W, 9D & 9L. Their stats indicate a goal ratio of 1.78 goals per game. Jurgen Klopp has seen his team pass through a rough patch of form over the last few weeks to re-establish their desire for Champions League football. On Sunday we will see another 4—3—3 formation with Mane, Firmino and Salah. Diogo Jota remains doubtful after picking up an injury in the 4-2 win over Manchester United.

Crystal Palace are in 13th place after a tally of 12W, 8D & 17L. They have scored 41 goals and conceded 64 - and hence, have a GD of -23. The Eagles have a goal ratio of 1.11 goals per game and a form that reads: LWLWL (Premier League). Their last defeat was to Arsenal,

when they lost on home soil, 3-1 earlier in the week. Coach Roy Hodgson will be looking for at least a draw when he meets Liverpool on Sunday. We expect a 4—4—2 formation from Roy Hodgson who will be stepping down at the end of the season when Crystal Palace with 44 points make another Premier League appearance. Christian Benteke and Wilfred Zaha will be in attack once again.

Liverpool practically destroyed Crystal Palace, 7-0 in their last meeting. Before that tie, the Reds secured a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace. An earlier tie ended in a 2-1 win for the reds.
